Dr. Melanie Martel understands that the prospect of root canals can be intimidating, and she will work with you to come up with the best treatment option for your tooth while ensuring that you are comfortable and informed throughout the process.

Dr. Martel completed her residency in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania after earning her degree of Doctor in Dental Medicine (DMD), with Clinical Honors, there. While in residency, Dr. Martel was an instructor at the Microscope Training Center, where she taught micro-endodontic techniques in root end surgery to visiting Endodontists and General Dentists from around the world. During her DMD studies, Dr. Martel was awarded the Drs. Samuel and Louis Rossman Endodontics Scholarship Fund, the Dr. Earle Banks Hoyt Teaching Award, the Herman Segal Emergency Care Award, and the Limoli Practice Management Award and Scholarship.

Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Martel completed her undergraduate studies at Cal-Poly Pomona, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biology.

Dr. Martel stays involved in the dental community through her memberships in the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. In her free time, she loves to read, go on hikes with her dog Cappi, and spend time with friends and family.
